Candidate Agreement
It is agreed that the examination marks are final and cannot be contested, however in the case of unsuccessful completion, the candidate will be provided the opportunity to re-write the exam at a later date.
Exam marks are provided to the candidate only.
Passing candidates will be notified of their successful completion. Once approved by the EDAC Board of Directors, the CEO will issue a formal letter advising the candidate to proceed with the use of the Ec.D. Designation.
Unlike the case of passing candidates, it is important for unsuccessful candidates to be provided with an overall critique providing strength and weakness information, so the candidate can assess the level of effort and areas needing more or less attention to prepare for a re-write of the exam.
By proceeding with the writing of the Ec.D. Exam, it is understood that the candidate agrees with the above noted Candidate Agreement.
Certification Fees
A certification fee will be charged to each member wishing to write the Ec.D. Exam. You can pay this and begin the Certification process on the Register page, a link to which will be provided by Penny Gardiner, EDAC CEO once your eligibility is confirmed.
Re-write Fee
A fee will be charged to each member requiring to re-write the exam. Re-write fees will not be refunded upon cancellation of a set date, however the fee will be applied to the re-scheduled date.
Re-write Policy
Within a year of initially writing the Ec.D. Exam, the candidate must provide a written request to the EDAC office stipulating their desire to re-write the exam. EDAC’s CEO will make arrangements with a proctor (date, time, location) and advise the candidate of such in written format.
Within that a period of one year, you must complete and submit the application for examination again, which provides EDAC with up to date contact information, displaying that you demonstrate the required experience and execute the Candidate Agreement.
